Mikkel has a background with a unique blend of sound design and music composition. For the past 6 years Mikkel has worked as a freelance sound designer and composer on countless short films, documentaries, commercials and art projects. While he works primarily as a sound designer, more often than not he also doubles up as sound recordist, foley artist and composer. He is a long time collaborator with Norwegian dance company Plire Multi. Their latest effort, DOT, made it to the final of the prestigious The Place Prize, and is currently touring in Norway. Mikkel has also made the music for several ads, for clients including MTG, Jetix and the BBC. His work has been shown in Britain, France, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and throughout the Middle East. He has recently directed his first documentary, which is now traveling the festival circuit. Mikkel also works as a sound engineer and teaches documentary filmmaking at Abingdon, Latymer and St. Marylebone Upper Secondary Schools.
